Ally Bank - Detroit (MI)

1 /5 Shanna Bryant: This bank has TERRIBLE customer service. I’ve contacted this bank over 20 times within 2 months in an attempt to get a Lien released. Only to get transferred in literal circles. Unfortunately my loan was transferred to this bank. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to do any type of business with this bank. They’re definitely not in compliance. The reps and mangers are not properly trained. They took my money and never release my lien to obtain the title to my vehicle.

1 /5 vanessa hurtado: Absolutely worst banking system ever! They’ve locked my account and have held my money hostage for over a week now. Every time I call they say a step was missed in my request to close my account. Why they feel like they can keep people from their hard earned money… beyond me. Do not open an account with them. Do better Ally!

1 /5 Tammara: I financed a car through them 11 years ago. I lost my job leading to loss of the car. Theyre still on my credit report after 11 years. I think its illegal. I tell everyone I know about this. They say the same. They were caught over pricing to minorities. I know because I recieved a payment back as a pay off of it. Theyre not a good company.

1 /5 Jared Underwood: Absolutely godawful "Financial Institution" said it would take up to 5 business days to deposit my Check, and as soon as they deposit it, they question the validity, put my account on hold. Called them to take it off hold, they said its good to go. Tried to make another purchase, they locked it and have put me through hoop after hoop after hoop and given me the runaround with multiple "brief holds" with different departments. Also apparently if your Employers direct associate line isnt Googleable, they cant call them to verify your check. They will also hang up on you if you lose your patience with them over the insanity of this entire situation and holding my own money hostage. Switching back to Chase tomorrow. They are NOT your Ally. They are the opposite of your Ally. STAY. AWAY. FROM. ALLY.

1 /5 carol thompson: They received my payoff check on Wednesday I call on Thursday for a person that you can barely understand to tell me they won’t apply it to my account for 5 to 7 days! It’s a certified bank check as well! Asked to be transferred to a supervisor and she hangs up on me. This after I paid one vehicle off and they call me months later AT my job on a Saturday to tell me I still owed them $1.00! Get with it Ally! Very poor service! (Maybe you don’t care since your ratings are so low?)
