5 /5 Jacquelin Telesford: I go to the Boll Family Y mainly to swim. I have tried other classes; Yoga, water aerobics, pilates, cycling and all have been fun. Occasionally, I play basketball. It is great to have so many options and an opportunity to try new things, (Tai-Chi is on my list)..
I love seeing families there-having fun and staying healthy. I especially enjoy seeing the little ones learning to swim (tears, hesitation and all) and at the summer camps. My sons learned to swim at the Y. I tell people who express a desire to learn to swim, "Go to the Y; they are experts!" My grandson attended Y summer camps from the age of 4 into his teens. He loved it and I loved it. The Y has been a part of my familys life for decades. Now, my granddaughters swim there and attend summer camp.
The child care offering is a great amenity. And, offering financial assistance to families is a real community service. I try to support the Y financially, because it is an invaluable resource for me and my community
The Y is well maintained; always clean. Staff and patrons are warm, friendly and welcoming.
The theater offers so many interesting events, plays and movies. One of the most memorable was the Y anniversary celebration which featured a tribute to the Queen of Soul.
I always feel better after spending time at the Y.
