5 /5 Jeff Sorensen: Excellent CrossFit Box.... I dropped in while in downtown Detroit for business. The Coach (and owner) was one of the best Ive experienced. The facility is spacious and very, very well equipped. I wish I could make this my home box. And the WOD was Elizabeth, so our class of 10 slogged through as a team. Definitely a place where newcomers and new-to-Crossfit folks are very welcomed. A strong 5⭐.

It’s been a great way to start my day out. Terra owns the gym and offers dynamic and friendly workout sessions. I’m so excited that I discovered this locally owned gym in the community!!!

Bryan Elkhawand: The place is the dirtiest gym Ive been to hands down. I go here because part of my tuition pays for it. That being said, I get great workouts. From morning to late afternoon, I dont have to wait long for equipment. If you go here, expect to get great workouts but using dirty equipment. Im not even joking in the slightest. I like to deadlift a lot. After a couple sets my hands are covered in black grime. Its a shame because this place could be a lot better if they put some time into proper maintenance and some newer equipment. Overall, I love working out here, but the equipment needs to be maintained better.

He pushed me outside of my comfort zone while making sure my form was on point. The workout was challenging but motivating, and I left feeling stronger and energized. Christine Peltier: I agreed to give training sessions a chance since then I developed medical problems making things difficult. I attempted to cancel the training sessions while leaving the membership in placd so I could use the sauna. The website said I could cancel by email so I sent one nothing happened. So I called and told to come in. I went in twice, the ONLY person who can cancel the sessions was never there. Ive left three messages and NOTHING. We wont talk about how I had to beg to get sessions by both this branch and Roseville. Older members BEWARE.

He let me know that the 30 minutes workout with a target all of those things and much more..TRUTH!! I FELT EVERY MUSCLE WORKING!! Moose Andrews: Ive recently attended Jabs Gym, as Ive been looking for some more exciting cardio to supplement my bodybuilding--and Ive been inspired by the anime "Hajime no Ippo" and the protagonists self-improvement, which is reminiscent of my own, but I digress. Just after Googling "Boxing gyms near Downtown Detroit," and it led me to the Eastern Market location. When you arrive in the gym--which is on the third floor--youll immediately see a multitude of boxing bags. They may not have a ring (and I dont believe sparring takes place at the gym), but the classes are very high energy. The times Ive gone, I found myself gassed out once the session concluded, which is phenomenal. To me, sweating, heavy breathing, and an elevated heart rate are all signs of hard work. Despite being very new to boxing classes, I immediately felt welcomed. Not only that, but I believe the instructors have a solid understanding of boxing fundamentals; some of what they discussed came up in the aforementioned "Hajime no Ippo." They have deals on the website for monthly memberships and for individual classes as well, of which I certainly intend to take advantage. I recommend Jabs Gym to anyone who wants to learn about boxing, get a good workout in, and have some fun while doing so.
