  • CKO Kickboxing Grand Rapids Downtown - Grand Rapids
Angelica Gero: I lived in GR for 5 years from 2018-2023 and just came back for one more summer to work. I started with CKO in GR the last 3 years I was living there and then had to go back for the 6 weeks I was back! I took my lacrosse team for some team workouts and that was such a fun experience for all of us & then I became a member myself because I immediately loved it. Shelby is one of the most amazing business owners I’ve ever had the pleasure to get to know. The workouts are awesome, the instructors are tough but inclusive & welcoming. Shelby is the GOAT, she manages to push you harder than you think you can go whilst also making you feel confident that you’re exactly where you should be. My schedule also lead me to Corey’s classes a lot & I loved him. He’s such a good coach & incorporates a lot of thorough fundamentals while keeping up a great pace. Cami is another baller instructor & I was always excited when I could make her classes. The other instructors I just didn’t get the opportunity to cross paths with as often but anytime I did I was not disappointed. This place, this staff, these workouts…amazing stuff!!!! I am so grateful that I went here, it was an unreal addition to my life. One of the parts of GR I will miss the absolute most when I move. GO GO GO, you won’t be sorry!!!!
D1 Training Grand Rapids - Grand Rapids
Kylie Roel: Had a great experience here; great workout, good vibes, excellent coaching. I wish I lived closer to this place. I’m in search of fitness classes, I’m new to cardio and strength training, this place is beginner friendly, love the athletic feel being in field house, really nice equipment. Because its 30 minutes away I won’t be joining (honestly also because of pricing, I can’t afford $200 a month), but I’d love to encourage others that live closer to check it out!
Fever | Yoga Cycle Strength - Grand Rapids
Brooke Baker: Class quality and instructors were good. The reason I give 2 stars is for improvement recommendations in various areas, given the price of the membership/classes. All of the studio sizes are very small and packed. The entry and hallways are super narrow for the amounts of people it holds. You cannot comfortably get changed here or put on shoes in the cubbies. The sound system is hard to hear clearly in the spin room. They will post additional charges to your account where possible: if you need a water bottle, mat, cancel too late, etc. I was hoping the operation was a bit better for the price for me to stay but will be taking my business elsewhere. Regardless the trial was a good value, so thank you
    Quest Fitness - Grand Rapids
Erin Hackman: I have been working out with Ray for the last four years. He always has new and challenging workouts. His workouts are just hard enough to get a good workout but, not too hard where you can’t get through them. I always leave his gym feeling accomplished and energized. Furthermore, Ray really cares about helping people meet their fitness goals. He has helped me get stronger and lose weight.
Northview Community Fitness Center - Grand Rapids
Haley Rademacher: This gym is pretty quiet and I’ve never had an issue getting to the equipment that I’d like to use. Now that it is getting warm though, it is incredibly hot inside and has very little airflow with just two fans for the full space.
    Tranzform Fitness - Grand Rapids
Jody Lebarre: I absolutely love Tranzform! I’ve been going 6 days a week for the past 5 years, and it has become such an important part of my routine. The 45-minute bootcamp classes are a perfect combination of intensity, and I always leave feeling like Ive gotten a great workout. I have made some really great friends and we are always there to cheer each other on! The coaches are incredible – they are supportive, motivating, and truly dedicated to helping you reach your full potential. They push you when needed and always make sure youre using the right form to prevent injury. The atmosphere is positive and welcoming, and the community here is fantastic. If youre looking for something more than a gym, Tranzform is the place to be!

    Planet Fitness
Kay Schultetus: Does not compare to the PF in Byron Center. Few stations with cleaning supplies for after use of machines. Often with empty paper towels. Only 1 staff member visible on both visits. On the phone the whole time. No greeting, no sign in, just the scanner on the counter for members to self check in. Machines are great, gym is well laid out, but I will be going to Byron Center even though its further away from home.
Garfield Park Community Gym - Grand Rapids
Rhythm Fitness Studio LLC - Byron Center
Renee Porter: Love this place, love the workouts and instructors. Work outs at all levels and instructors focus on safety of participants. ♡
    BODY20 - Cascade/Grand Rapids - Grand Rapids
Nikki Rodman: Abby always helps break down the workouts in a way that makes sense to me. As a woman I’ve struggled with getting coaching from my boyfriend Becuase our bodies are very different but Abby has been able to teach me all the same concepts and I can really tell she knows what she’s talking about when I feel the right muscles engaging with each movement! Very knowledgeable staff for sure!
