  • Court One Athletic Clubs - Okemos
Aamir Baig: Front desk workers are very nice and ready to help. Man sitting in office was very rude and did not even bother to come out of his office to talk to me. On the membership pamphlet it says 6-18 pay 35 dollars a month and I am 18. When I went inside to enroll for a membership, the "manager" told me that you had to be a high school student who is 18 when it neither says that in the membership pamphlet in the club or on the website. The "manager" lied to me and told me that is what it says on the website, and when I called him out on his lie after going through the website, he told me that Court 1 is a private club and does not need my membership, and I was free to leave. SO, I am an 18 year old paying a 45 dollar membership when I should be paying 35. My friend is also an 18 year old, but he is paying 35 dollars a month membership, so I do not understand why they lied to me today when I went to make a membership. Also, when I asked to speak with the "manager" in his office because he would not get off his chair to speak with me face to face, I was told I could not go in there. Right after that, another person just walked in and sat in his office. I think there was a double standard because of my age. To reiterate, the front desk workers were very nice and cooperative, but the "manger" in the office was very rude and lied to me. Overall, I was not satisfied with the customer service that was provided to me today, and I would want some kind of explanation.
Girl on Fire Fitness - Lansing
Alicia Aldaco: Nikki is great!!! She makes me comfortable with being a first time person learning how to work out. She also checks on you daily to make sure you’re doing ok or give pointers on stretches that will help. I highly recommend working with her!!! Super friendly and an awesome teacher!! My experience has been super pleasant!!!
University Club Fitness Center & Spa - Lansing
Terra Luckett: Never replied to my inquiry
    The Training Factory - Okemos
Joshua Holder: The Training Factory is an excellent gym that covers all-around training needs. Having trained at many powerlifting gyms with high-level equipment such as Texas Power Bars, Rogue, and Eleiko, I can confidently say the Training Factory provides access to all of these top-tier names. The environment is welcoming allowing members to train however they prefer without judgment. The facility is consistently clean, well-maintained, and organized, which makes every session more enjoyable. Management is also attentive and dependable, ensuring the gym runs smoothly.
    Elite Fitness DG - Lansing
Shron Nathan-Rinker: This place is just all round great the instructor is a great guy that really pushes you for success and it’s just a great way to feel and look fit
East Lansing Hannah Community Center - East Lansing
    East Lansing Hannah Community Center
Devin Hauenstein: Great community center will regularly hosted events for youth and community members. Nice gym and workout area as well.
    Breakthrough Fitness - Lansing
Kristian Johnson: Troy is an excellent trainer. I immediately saw improved technique and identified areas of focus during our first visit. Troy also helped me to reach some personal bests by providing an environment that feels safe to do so.
    Oak Park YMCA - Lansing
Jen: The workers seemed nice, but the gym itself sucks. There are no private showers, so if you want to clean up after a workout you either have to forgo any sense of privacy or just wash your pits with water from the sink. The cardio gym is separate from the weight lifting gym, why? Also all their weight lifting stuff is outdated. There are a lot of creepy men, one of them was stretching in a doorway and catcalled me as I walked past when I was trying to find the cardio gym. I was also informed that there have been a lot of car break-ins in the parking lot. Just avoid, Im never coming back to this one.
    Orangetheory Fitness - East Lansing
Tom Jones: Great aerobic & cardio workouts that also include strength-building for all muscle groups and endurance. If you are my age, check out the Facebook group for Orange Theory over 70 years old, but way more intensive than Silver Sneakers, as most participants are college age through mid-life. This is keeping me in shape, after doing triathlons & martial arts in the past. Located across from MSU on Hagadorn Rd. in Hannah Plaza.
    Parkwood YMCA - East Lansing
eva robbins: Theresa, was incredibly confrontational and rude, literally had just walked into the pool area with my little brother and sat down, we were trying to make sure his mask and flippers fit because we’re going to florida next week, and she stormed up to us and said “YOU can wear that, HE cannot. We do NOT allow that here.” My dad politely tried to explain that we were literally just trying to check to make sure the mask didn’t leak and that his flippers fit his feet, she cut him off before he could barely get a word in, saying she runs the place and she does not allow that here. I’m not trying to say that she had to make an exception I don’t mind that at all, it was her approach to it that made the whole situation incredibly uncomfortable. We will never come back. Idk what kind of power trip she was on but yikes.
