Gymnastic Dreams - Livonia
DeAndrea Armstead: I’m extremely disappointed in this gymnastics program. We paid $225 for an 8-week session, and it ended up being nothing more than open gym. There was no clear structure, no consistent coaching, and little to no instruction on technique. Our group had kids at all different skill levels, and that might have been part of the problem—but instead of adapting or rotating focus, the coaches gave most of their attention to the girls who were already advanced or close to landing a big skill. My daughter is very close to getting her back walkover, but because another girl in the group could already do a front flip, the coaches focused heavily on helping her perfect it, while the rest of the group was left to figure things out on their own. I didn’t expect miracles in 8 weeks, but I did expect actual coaching. This felt like a waste of money and time, and I would not recommend it to anyone hoping for real progress or guidance.
Core Sport Pilates Fitness Studio - Plymouth
Tina OBrien: Carly is an excellent instructor - I hurt so good the next day! :) A good (hard!) workout and helpful info on body positioning while she keeps us moving.
Detroit Muscle Gym - Plymouth
Christian Miller: If you are looking for a non corporate, hard core, authentic gym then look no further. You won’t find another gym like this in the Metro Detroit Area. The owner is professional and courteous. I’d recommend you check it out.
LifeClinic Chiropractic & Rehabilitation - Rochester Hills, MI - Rochester Hills
Heather Lynch: Dr Cole takes the time to really understand his patients concerns and challenges. He is extremely knowledgeable and leverages it to create positive outcomes. He relieved my hip discomfort which has enabled me to walk longer distances again. I refer anyone I can to him!
Updog Yoga - Rochester
sara cornwell: PREVIOUS REVIEW WAS DELETED BY OWNER / GOOGLE I’ve spent enough time at UpDog Yoga to share that while the space itself is beautiful and many of the instructors are kind, the energy of this studio is overshadowed by the owner’s dark presence. It’s important to know before spending your money here that the person at the helm of this business is, frankly, the opposite of the peace and warmth that yoga is meant to cultivate. The owner carries a cloud of negativity that seeps into the environment, and it becomes impossible to ignore. For a practice that centers around presence, humility, and peace, it’s deeply ironic to witness how transactional the atmosphere becomes under her management. It feels like every decision made in that studio is rooted in squeezing as much money out of students as possible, rather than fostering genuine community or spiritual growth. Yoga is about creating a space where people can feel safe to grow, breathe, and heal. It’s disheartening to see someone so disconnected from these principles running a space that should be sacred. If you’re seeking a true yoga community that values you as a human being, not just as another credit card swipe, I would encourage you to look elsewhere. There are so many studios with owners and teachers who live their practice, who radiate the calm and compassion they teach. Sadly, that is not the case here. If you’re considering UpDog, I recommend attending a class only if you find an instructor who truly resonates with you, but know that the leadership here does not reflect the peace and mindfulness that yoga stands for. Life is too short, and your peace is too precious, to give your energy and money to someone who treats yoga as just another business transaction while embodying none of its spirit. Let your intuition guide you toward a studio where the owner’s energy reflects the practice you are seeking. This simply isn’t that place.

FC Fitness Academy - Waterford Township
CYCLEBAR - Northville Township
CYCLEBAR
Lindsey Martin: Northville CycleBar gave me the confidence boost I needed to start working out again. This is a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The class can be hard of a workout as you want it to be (push at your pace) but it’ll always be a fun workout!! I couldn’t stand up “out of the saddle” for the first 12 rides as I was very out of shape. I was ok with that! I didn’t feel like people were upset or judging me. I just passed my 100 rides and have lost so much weight, I can fit into clothes from 5-10 years ago! I am weight lifting now too!! Thank you, -Lindsey and Rudy F
Bloomfield Hills Body Burn Studio - Bloomfield Township
Zaina Khalid: This is my favorite workout place. It’s so challenging but such a good workout. I’ve tried almost all of the instructors and they are all very knowledgeable and kind. My favorite classes are always with Andrea or Liberty, but all of the instructors are so helpful. I love how the routines are always different and it is an extremely clean studio with its own parking lot which is not always the case!!
Empower Training - Bloomfield Hills
Christina White: From the second you walk in you’re going to LOVE this place! Not only does it have amazing equipment it’s so clean and really beautiful. The owners and trainers are super kind and personable. Also if you’re navigating pregnancy and postpartum, they have the training to keep you moving with CONFIDENCE! Can’t say enough great things about this place.
