5 /5 Mark Frye: Amazing restaurant. Definitely recommend. Food is amazing. Service is awesome; thank you Christy for making our dinner so fun. Atmosphere is cozy, vibrant and social. Cant wait to go back. Parking is challenging because the restaurant was full and another restaurant is next door. Be patient. Bartenders were great. One of the owners stopped by our table. She was wonderful. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the dish. Everything tasted amazing. Enjoy.

5 /5 Sophia G: This was one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the food, to service and atmosphere, Bar Gabi nailed it. I also went with my Romanian sister in law and she said it was authentic Romanian food. There wasn’t anything we didn’t love! Apps we got: Brussels Sprouts “Caesar,” Langos, and Beets Main: Tomahawk Schnitzel, Sarmale, Rigatoni Past with short rib Dessert: Cremes and Papanas (off menu) Drinks: Martini, 2 Ruby Tonics (mocktails) and a glass of wine We will be back!!

5 /5 Justin W: I cant say enough good things about this place. Everything i had was top tier. From food to service the whole experience was great. I cannot wait to go back and try more items on the menu. The pork schnitzel was so crispy and delicious and the rigatoni was perfect. I highly recommend you make a reservation and give this place a try.

5 /5 Michael Meskill: My wife and I had a fabulous dinner last night at Romanian restaurant Bar Gabi in Hazel Park. Amazing food, next level hospitality from one of the chef/owners, Gabi and super server, Kristy as well as the collective staff. Their House Dirty Martini is perfection. The Wolf and Amber (Bourbon Old Fashioned) was well balanced and not overly sweet like the ones found at Wisconsins famed Supper Clubs. For starters we took Gabis recommendation of Langos and Mititei and were not disappointed in the least. Amazing! After much debate about getting different entrees to sample each others dishes, we both opted for one of the current months pasta dishes: the Braised Short Rib Rigatoni. Once again, Amazing! {{UPDATE 31 Dec 2025: After a 10-year ban on going out to dinner on New Years Eve due to always getting bad food, we very much thought it would not be the case at Bar Gabi and we were right. New Years Eve dinner was just as fabulous and enjoyable as our last meal!}}

5 /5 Laura Popa: I went with my husband and a good friend last night, and it was amazing! I dont think you could go wrong with any choice on the menu, I cant wait to make my way through it. The service was outstanding, the food was amazing. Its definitely classy, high-end service, and somehow the atmosphere felt like I was having a meal with my family in Romania. I knew I was going to get a taste of Romanian home when I went, but to have that coupled with the experience of hospitality and family: priceless. P.S. we each ate one mititei before I remembered I like to take pictures of our food.
