3 /5 Nicole McFaul: Saturday night before 6:15 PM arrival. We were told it would be about a 25 minute wait for a bar seat or a table. We put down our name for a table. Try to be conservative on seating estimates.
We are seated in less than 5 minutes after getting a text, our table was ready.
Sophia is waiting on us. She recommended Souvlaki. I told her I don’t eat red meat, asked if I could get more veggies instead of the bed of rice the meat skewers were place on, she said there are no substitutions. If I want more veggies and no rice, it would be an add on. She then recommended lamp chops, I reminded her against that I don’t eat red meat.
Why wouldn’t you just give a few more zucchini slices instead of rice? How cheap are they? Lost a $28 entree order.
Ordered beet salad, Greek salad, calamari, octopus, chicken gyro, crispy feta and phyllo and Greek salad with grilled chicken on it ($7 add on). $113.42
Discount if you pay with cash.
The octopus is super tender. Arugula salad was simple, but good. Hummus is flat and tasteless to me.
This young judgy man came over to our table to tell me that taking a top view of the calamari dish is a bad picture, that I should take from different angles. I less than amusedly let the staff know that I always take at least 3 pics of food at different angles.
The calamari is slightly crispy, but more heavily breaded and quite greasy for me. Lots of tentacles pieces in the bowl, left them for my hubby, since he doesn’t mind them much.
The feta phyllo was so-so, not so special and rather bland. It’s a long hunk of feta wrapped in phyllo and that’s about it.
The Greek salad was ok. The mixed greens are all on the bottom and are full leaves, so a bit tough to get at to cut down to eat.
The beet salad was lack luster, the whipped goat cheese was not as good as actual goat cheese for me.
The chicken gyro was blah, my husband wasn’t loving the big chunks of pickles in it too much and it only had a bit of chicken in it. It’s not anything special, wasn’t what he expected and rather flavorless. The fries were as expected and slightly seasoned.
Service was average. It’s rather pricey if you think about it being Greek inspired food and costing over $100 for one entree and several starters.
