4 /5 Erin Heavilin: Perfect stop before or after an MSU game. Despite being very close to campus and the frats, Ive seen a lot of families in here. It feels like a welcoming place for everyone, not just hard partying young people (though they are certainly welcome here). For as large as it is, it feels cozy. You can also leave your car overnight...love that theyre trying to prevent drunk driving. Their food is surprisingly good for a sports bar. Im not a huge fan of their burgers, theyre good but not especially delicious IMO. A friend really likes the veggie burgers though, so if thats your thing, check it out. The apps were scrumptious (potato bombs and cheese curds, pure Michigan baby, you cant go wrong). Ive also had the club, it was huge (I split it with a gal pal and Im not one for splitting my main dish lol) and it was yummm. Their drinks are not strong on the booze at all, the cocktails Ive had tasted like straight up mixer(s). A little disappointing. Im not a beer drinker though so maybe Im missing out. They dont have a primo hockey package, so they dont get all the games which is a letdown (its why I knocked a star off for atmosphere). On the plus side, the staff are so, so nice! Have had two really good experiences here and I definitely recommend you check it out.
