2 /5 **: Ordered takeout from Detroit Burger Bar hoping to find a new go-to burger spot after Burgrz closed earlier this month. I went with two The Russell Street burgers, requested both medium well — but unfortunately, both arrived very pink inside, much closer to rare than medium well. It was disappointing, especially since I was really looking forward to trying something new. I get that mistakes happen, but with burgers, doneness really matters — especially when you cant just send them back with takeout. I am not sure if its a one-off, but first impressions count. Not sure if I’ll be back, but I’d be open to giving it another shot if consistency improves

4 /5 Jonathan Bruyn: Here are the pros and cons. Pro. Staff is nice and attentive and helpful. Manager was so friendly. Pro. Great food. Pro, very reasonable priced. Con. Kinda dark. Menu is small and hard to read. The music is a bit loud, so its hard to hear people talking. Otherwise a good experience. Ample parking. Pro, didnt have to wait long on a Friday night. Love the Detroit sports flag representing each Detroit sports team. Will definitely return to here in the near future. Also has a outdoor seating for nice weather days.

5 /5 Whitnee D: Excellent service and amazing food! Our waitress, Destiny, was incredibly kind and attentive. She made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The manager also stopped by our table to check on us, which was such a nice touch and really showed how much they care about their guests. The food was absolutely delicious… I honestly wanted more! I had The Detroit Wrap, with grilled chicken, bacon, and shredded lettuce wrapped in a warm tortilla. It’s served with a side of ranch, but it was so flavorful on its own that I didn’t even need it. We also tried The Michigan Ave Burger, a half-pound Angus burger topped with BBQ pulled pork, cheddar cheese, and crispy onion strings. It was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. And don’t forget the margaritas… they’re tasty and sizable, so be sure to order them early!

3 /5 Eve: I got the old detroit classic burger with provolone & mushroom - it was disappointing... the burger patty wasnt seasoned, mushroom wasnt seasoned; the whole burger tasted bland and dry. No sauce at all. Couldnt finish the other half of it. Seasoned fries were good. Place was busy and loud, outside seating was great, bathroom was clean.
