4 /5 joe31400: I recently tried Shiromaru, and overall, it was a decent experience. I came mainly for the ramen, which I thought was just okay. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t stand. The broth was a bit on the lighter side, and the flavor didn’t fully hit that rich, comforting depth I was hoping for.
What did surprise me, though, were the sushi and chicken teriyaki rice bowl, both were actually really good. The sushi tasted fresh and well-prepared, with clean presentation and good texture. The chicken teriyaki bowl was flavorful and nicely portioned, with tender chicken and just the right amount of sauce over the rice.
The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and service was friendly and fairly quick. Overall, I’d say Shiromaru is a solid spot if you’re craving a mix of Japanese dishes, especially sushi or teriyaki. The ramen didn’t blow me away, but the other menu items made the visit worthwhile.
