4 /5 Anna Daker: For a place with such a solid menu and the unique option of a soup flight, I truly hoped for a better experience with the staff. When we walked in, several servers and even the bartender passed us without any acknowledgment for about ten minutes. Eventually, someone approached us only to tell us to sit and wait longer for a table.
Once we were seated, our waitress took our drink order right away, but then disappeared for another ten minutes. To be fair, she seemed to be the only one actively engaging with any tables, so it was clear she was overwhelmed. When our drinks finally arrived—brought out by the manager—we asked if we could place our order. The response was hesitant until I explained that we had already waited quite a while without any communication and were hoping to get things moving. We were told the restaurant gets busy and they clear tables as quickly as they can, which is completely understandable. Still, we felt invisible for the first 30 minutes we were in the building, well before ever ordering.
Our waitress did eventually apologize for the delays, and I don’t believe the lack of acknowledgment was intentional. But even a simple “We’ll be right with you—we’re a bit busy/short-staffed” when we walked in would have made a huge difference.
Despite the rocky service, the food itself was excellent, and that alone makes me willing to give this place another try.
