1 /5 deafpreachrwife33: I love Cato clothing. I had not been there in a very long time. It will probably be a very long time before I go back to this location because the sales lady was extreamly rude and without cause. I went tonight 03/01/2025. I thought they closed at 8pm. As I am opening the door I saw the sign that said that they close at 7pm. It was 6:55pm. I had my daughter in law with me who had never been there before. I wanted her to see the store even though we would have to come back. As I walk into the store the sales lady (who is older with dyed redish hair) says, "We close in 5 minutes". I replied, "Okay, thank you". I tell my daughter in law and her friend, so this is Cato.. then the woman behind the counter stops waiting on her customer, comes around the counter walking towards us and very sternly says, "like unless you can just pick something off a rack and bring it straight to the counter... Im gonna close the store, okay!?!?!!". I said, "geez I was just showing them the store I had planned to come back, but Ill just leave, and thats so rude"!
I have worked retail and I know what it is like when people come in at the last minute. I had no intentions of keeping her past her time. However, I also know a good customer service means that you can 1. Let the person know you will be closing soon, and 2. Ask them if they need help finding what they came for. You never meet them at the door and tell them that they are not welcome when its still technically open hours. This woman needs a stern talking to about customer service because this is why people shop online and why stores close and people lose jobs!
