1 /5 Callie (Kiwi): This store doesn’t even deserve one star. I’ve shopped here many times before, but this visit was humiliating and unacceptable. I was browsing for a while because I didn’t have my kids with me and was actually taking my time. Apparently, that was enough for the manager to assume I was stealing.
When I finally went to the register with my arms full of items I was ready to purchase, two police officers stopped me and said the manager had called them because I had been in the store “too long.” Since when is shopping for an hour a crime?
I allowed them to search my purse—of course, they found nothing because I wasn’t stealing. There was no proof, no eyewitness, and nothing on camera. Just an assumption. I was so embarrassed and angry that I put everything down and walked out.
To accuse a paying customer with absolutely no evidence is reckless and humiliating. I will never return. I hope management reconsiders how they treat customers, because this was completely unacceptable.
