Powerhouse Gym Ypsilanti
Tim whales: THE MENS LOCKER ROOM ALWAYS SMELLS TERRIBLE IT SMELLS LIKE SPOILED EGGS AND FISH. I HOLD MY BREATH EVERY TIME I GO IN THERE. SOMETIMES YOU CAN SMELL IT OUTSIDE THE LOCKER ROOM TOO. THE FLOOR NEAR THE MIRRORS IS ALWAYS DIRTY AT LEAST MOP THE FLOOR. The air quality in the entire gym is terrible.
Crunch Fitness - Ypsilanti - Ypsilanti
Crunch Fitness - Ypsilanti
Ibrahim Mohyuddin: Crunch Ypsilanti is an amazing gym! The equipment is always clean and well-maintained, and there’s a huge variety so I never feel limited in my workouts. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is welcoming whether you’re new to fitness or more experienced. I also appreciate how spacious the layout is, so even during busier times I can usually find what I need without waiting around. Definitely the best value gym in the area—I’m glad I joined!
Pure Barre - Ann Arbor
Lisa Loomis: The best workout EVER. I’ve also been to a few pure barre studios and there truly are no studios like PB AA…the teachers, the clients, and the workout. The teachers are not afraid to provide hands on corrections to ensure you are doing all moves correctly and they are so knowledgeable that if you are injured they take the time to provide corrections to ensure the workout feels comfortable but also challenging! If you are on the fence about trying a class just do it!!! you won’t regret it.
Core Collective - Plymouth Road - Ann Arbor
Bobby W: Ive been going here for a couple years now and love it! The instructors are great and super welcoming, and no two classes are ever the same. Highly recommend!
AchieveFit - Ann Arbor
Gail Blaauw: Ive been training with Adam for almost a year now. He is knowledgeable and so friendly and supportive; he makes work outs fun. He listens to my specific needs and adapts exercises while also challenging me. He makes sure I’m progressing safely. Over time, I have seen a difference. Everyday tasks have become easier as I have gained strength and improved my balance. Recently, while traveling, I enjoyed clambering over some large rocks with a stability and confidence I didn’t have a year ago. My husband and daughter noticed! I highly recommend Adam!
Jazzercise - Ann Arbor
Jennifer Rice: I have the privilege of studying ballet under His Feet Dance here on Fridays - she rents the building. The facility is in an excellent location, is always clean and has a beautiful wood floor to exercise. What a great place!
Ypsi Arbor Strength - Ypsilanti
Daniel Jones: Great small personal gym. All of the coaches/trainers are great and will work with you on technique if you have years of experience or are a beginner. They can modify the workout on the spot so you can push through. Also great members to workout with, no muscle-heads just people bettering themselves. I have been going for 6 months and total notice the difference.
Core Collective - Packard Row - Ann Arbor
Gabi Alter: Ive always been hesitant to join a Pilates studio or even go to a Pilates class due to the stereotype of everyone who does Pilates has to be of a certain body type. This studio is one of the most welcoming and diverse studios that Ive ever seen and have felt truly welcome at. Im just here looking for a good time and to become both more flexible and stronger--overall fitness is really emphasized here. The smaller class sizes allow for instructors to pay close attention to all the students and ensure correct form along with knowing your name. Additionally, there isnt just reformer Pilates here. They also have a summer walk club that allows people to get to know each other outside of classes and mat Pilates for those who want a different type of Pilates. I have had very, very good experiences here with everything from customer service to billing to the classes that I continually recommend this studio to people who want to try Pilates but dont want to feel invisible
Advantage Personal Training - Ann Arbor
Amie Robison: Absolutely love Advantage Strength! As someone in my late 40s who hadn’t set foot in a gym in over two decades, I was more than a little nervous about getting started again. From the moment I walked in, that all changed—the staff is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly welcoming, making me feel at ease right from the start. The positive energy here is contagious, and both members and staff exude an encouraging vibe that always lifts me up. What really sets Advantage Strength apart is the small group atmosphere and the thoughtful programming. I especially appreciate the mix of mobility work and strength training, plus the genuine support from everyone around me. One of my favorite things is that I don’t have to think about my workouts—they’re planned out for me, with plenty of variety and challenge. All I have to do is show up and do the work, and I’ve seen amazing results. Since joining just three months ago, I feel like a new person—stronger, with better posture, fewer aches and pains, and just more comfortable moving through daily life. In a world full of flashy fitness gimmicks and quick fixes, Advantage Strength stands out as the real deal. Just consistent, proven methods that actually pay off. Joining has truly been life-changing, and honestly, my only regret is not signing up sooner! Highly recommend to anyone looking for lasting, meaningful results!
