1 /5 A D: I came in to the Rochester Road branch to pay off my deceased dads car. I came with a death certificate, the title, and cash. I knew there was a possibility I didnt have everything I needed, but neither the teller or the loan department could communicate what document would be satisfy the requirement to prove I was next of kin (the death certificate listing me as the informant, his daughter, and that he was widowed was NOT it... apparently). They kept telling me they advised me to get an attorney... over and over again, even after I said I had one. In the end I was able to pay off the loan (they couldnt tell me the payoff amount of course), but that I was able to see after they handed me the receipt back with the change. And because I was already incredibly annoyed, I would like to add that I think it is extremely unprofessional that banks no longer teach their tellers to face money. A pile of bills facing all different directions is lazy. I hope to never have to deal with this Credit Union again. Thankfully, Im quite happy with their competitors right up the road.
