Neal Fitness Center - Muskegon Tom: Neal Fitness Center has great potential, but the pool schedule makes it difficult for people like me. The facility is clean, welcoming, and the pool is a rare amenity in Muskegon, yet open swim ends before many who work a standard day shift can attend. I don’t get out of work until 6 PM, and several acquaintances and friends have the same issue—they wanted to bring their kids in the evenings but couldn’t, which deterred them from joining. My own membership ended up being canceled for the same reason.
That said, the classes are well run and enjoyable. Many offer a great mix of cardio, strength, and energy, with instructors who keep participants motivated. Each session I attended left me wishing I could finish the evening with a swim.
