The sauna here is hotter and better than any other gym I’ve ever been to, and everything is always super clean and well taken care of. The atmosphere is welcoming, the members are friendly, and the staff go above and beyond. The variety of equipment is incredible—old-school machines, brand-new equipment, boxing bags, and even pickleball courts. It’s a unique gym that truly stands out; there’s nothing else like it in the area. And the best part is the owner, Ben. He’s the best—always friendly, approachable, and clearly cares about making this gym a great place for everyone. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Nicholas Richmond: Ben the owner is one of the most easy to like dudes I have met in years. - Better than HOTWORX - Better than Forum Fitness - Slightly better (less crowded and less expensive) than Life Time - Night and day better than Pfit, Crunch, Edge and LA fitness. $129/month is high considering no pool or running track. But the courts and private space are very nice! You do get by far the hottest sauna in the tri county area and the only cold plunge unless you go out to Oakland or Detroit. Being that I train combat sports 4 times a week, travel for competitions weekly… I would only really be doing my sauna cuts once a week/every other week. So the price is a little hard to justify. Would love to see a day pass or punch card. Every kind of variety of everything though… they have. Great attention to detail. Immaculately clean.

The Pilates studio offers excellent classes that are both challenging and relaxing. The semi private training sessions are well structured and the coaches are knowledgeable and supportive. 5/5 stars – each star for staff, equipment, atmosphere, scheduling, and value.

5 /5 Dennis OGrady: The new facility is amazing--its clean and bright and modern with an impressive collection of machines and equipment for all skill levels. Coaches Ben, Dan and Julie are outstanding--they push and support me to give my best effort and Im now doing things I never thought I would do. If you havent been inside a gym for a while, or ever, this is the place for you! If you are a gym rat looking for a new gym that is clean and never crowded to the point where you have to wait to get on every machine you want to use, this is the place for you!

5 /5 Hollie Saraswat: You would be hard-pressed to find a gym with a better equipment for strength training. Its also huge, bright and clean with newly renovated locker rooms. I have trained semi-privately with them for years. It is a supportive environment for people at all fitness levels and ages. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

BYOC.fit - Livonia

Erricka Davis: No matter how tired I am I always got time for BYOC I’ve been with this community for 3 years now and it’s always a good time. I joined the gym when I was at a very low point in my life socially and physically, based off a friend’s recommendation. I’ve met some really awesome women with BYOC and went from a person who hates running to preparing to run my 3rd half marathon. The owner Camille always pushes me past my comfort zone and does it in a way I want more for myself. Also being a single mother the fact that she and the other members are always welcoming to my sons when I bring them is a plus. It’s more than a gym I’ve made new friends and done things I never would’ve done had I not joined from dream board parties to kickball games to kayaking and run club. BYOC is an overall great place to be.

YolanaG: Not sure who was the short bald white guy when I just showed up, but I moved to this area a year ago and it was hoping to work out today and they were closed for renovations or something.. but he was not very nice. While the lovely lady was talking to me. He mumbled something and she suddenly got quiet and stop talking to me. Not sure what that was about, but it was not very nice. Very unwelcoming. Maybe I will be back. Maybe I’ll just go to a different location.

Hassan Mehdi: Easily the worst Planet Fitness location I’ve been to. I’m a Black Card member and regularly visit different locations across multiple states, so I have a solid point of comparison — and this one was just disappointing all around. First thing I noticed: the lockers were filthy. I tried several and they were all visibly dusty — clearly not cleaned regularly. I visited between 5:30–7:30 PM, which is peak time at most PF gyms. Usually, there’s great energy, lots of people working out — but this place was practically empty. No vibe, no motivation. Just felt dead. Then came the real issue. A staff member came up to me and said, “This time it’s fine, but next time you need to wear something more covered.” I was shocked. I was wearing a black Men’s Cut Off Muscular Tank Top (check the photo, nothing revealing — full coverage to the neck, just open sides) and sweatpants. Ive worn this same outfit at many other PF locations and never once had a problem. Minutes later, I saw two women working out in sports bras and leggings — and the same staff member walked right past them without saying a word. So apparently, a guy in a muscular tank is a problem, but a sports bra is fine? Planet Fitness claims to be a “Judgement Free Zone,” but this felt like the exact opposite. Now I understand why this location is so empty. This was my first — and definitely last — visit here. I’ll be sticking to the other, better-managed PF gyms from now on.

CrossFit North Industry - Livonia

Mariya mtenga: Its one of the best CrossFit gyms around. The coaches care about their members. They correct the form and encourage their athletes. The vibe is very friendly, and the gym is very clean and organized.

I truly appreciate that I get corrected on my form, because that is what I really need! Other attendees have also been kind and helpful! I even tried the free classes they offer, and enjoyed each one!! I would totally recommend checking this place out, it is inclusive to all!

Mayukh Chakravartti: The gym is great. Awesome classes. Free towels to use. However, the reason I am writing this review is for the swim classes at this facility. I can’t say enough about the amazing job that coach Michael and Trevor are doing. Since theyve taken over, there has been a fantastic change in the teams energy and performance. Theyve introduced a challenging yet fun environment, and its incredible to see how much the kids are thriving. Children are more motivated than ever, and their progress has been remarkable. Thank you!

The Edge Fitness Clubs - Farmington Hills

Chittineni Lakshmi Prasanna: 10/07/2025 - Didnt hear anything from Edge Cares I joined Edge Fitness Farmington Hills on 08/22/2025 with the clear request for a monthly membership so I could continue only if I liked the gym. The sales representative assured me it was a monthly, pay-as-you-go plan. Based on that, I signed and even paid cash at the counter. Later, I discovered I had been locked into a 12-month contract without this ever being explained to me. To make matters worse, even when I paid dues in cash, my bank account was charged again. I also signed up for what I was told was a $60 promotional package for two trial personal training sessions. Instead, I was enrolled in an auto-renewing plan charging $119.99 every two weeks, which I never agreed to. I only found out when unexpected charges appeared on my bank statement. When I tried to resolve this at the club, the staff member avoided speaking with me and told me to email customer service. ABC Fitness (the billing company) then refused to help, saying they are “bound by club policies.” This is a misrepresentation and a misleading sales practice. I have already escalated my case to Edge Member Experience and am pursuing a resolution. But I want to warn others: please review every document carefully before signing, and do not rely only on what the sales staff tells you. I hope Edge Fitness takes accountability and improves transparency in their membership and training sales process.
