2 /5 La La La Lindsay: I took my mom to Cooper’s Hawk for a special birthday lunch and unfortunately it didn’t live up to the expectations for such an expensive, “upscale” restaurant.
Service was very disappointing. We waited a long time just to receive our drinks from the bar, and my mom had to ask more than once for Splenda for her iced tea. When her salad arrived, it was served with tomatoes even though she asked for none. She quietly removed them, but I mentioned it to the server, who simply took the plate away without an apology or any acknowledgment at all.
The food itself was tasty, but the overall experience felt careless. For a restaurant that promotes its wine and membership program, our server didn’t even mention the wine club—ironically, the hostess at the stand told me more than our waitress did.
Overall, this should have been a great birthday lunch, but the service really missed the mark. I expected better for the price and reputation.
