1 /5 Chad Chilton: First and foremost, I have to update my review — apparently, the great experience my buddy and I had after work was a complete anomaly. Since moving to my new office (just three buildings down), I’ve been back twice for lunch, and both times were exactly what you’d expect from a forced-gratuity spot: God awful.
The second visit really sealed it for me. I checked in on Swarm, so I know the timeline — from the time I checked in to the time I got my food, it was 45 minutes. That’s ridiculous for lunch. I only get an hour, but I ended up there for an hour and 20 minutes. Not good.
Service? Even worse. The waitress never came back to check on me, and when I was finally ready to leave, I had to hunt her down for the bill. At one point, I just sat there… and sat there… to the point I was about ready to walk out. When she finally reappeared, she said, “Oh, I was in the back” — whatever that means.
If you’ve got a long lunch break and don’t mind a server disappearing for most of your meal, sure, this is your spot. But if you’re on a time crunch? Avoid it. This is not the place for a quick, quality lunch.
