2 /5 Kevin Jackson: I had my daughter stop and order the chicken stew, beans and rice, and collards. It was my first time ordering, and the previous reviews were very favorable.
I would generally address food issues directly with management. However, the eating experience was so dreadful that I need to speak out.
The chicken stew with vegetables were very overcooked, and was hardly Jamaican in taste. There were shards of bones throughout the dish. I don’t care for overcooked, or food that has sat on the warmer for hours. The beans and rice was simply a few beans in flavorless rice. If you’ve had beans and rice from Popeye’s, you’ll be disappointed in this offering. The collards were actually fantastic, very tasty and edible.
I gave high praise for the facility and friendly service. However, they’ll probably never get my attention again.
