5 /5 Annie Chen: Mootz absolutely delivered! We came with a small group and tried a mix of pizzas and pasta — everything was flavorful and well-balanced. The Fungi Juliet was the standout: cheesy, earthy, and super satisfying without feeling heavy. The other specialty pizza we ordered had prosciutto, balsamic drizzle, and fresh herbs — so good and the crust was the perfect combo of chewy and crispy. We also shared the Gemelli pasta, which was rich, comforting, and packed with flavor from the sausage and greens. Portions were generous and great for sharing. Service was quick and friendly, and the overall vibe was casual, warm, and perfect for a dinner out with friends. Definitely recommend Mootz if you’re craving Detroit-style quality with creative toppings. We’ll be back!

5 /5 Lindsay Gottschalk: Located in front of the hopping Belt Alley, Mootz is the ideal casual pizza joint serving New York style pizza with old school Italian vibes. The bee sting is pretty spicy but delicious, love the thinner crust of their pizza. The garlic knots were a good starter- not sure if they’re anything special that I would order again, but the marinara sauce that comes with them is SO good! The best part of the meal was the vodka pasta- that sauce was incredible and the penne was cooked to al dente perfection! The bar staff was friendly and quickly made a clean area for us even during their busy rush. There was a bit of a hiccup with the knots coming out with our food but the manager was very kind and said she was taking them off our bill. It was not expected but a very thoughtful gesture! Great food and drinks, fun atmosphere, and excellent service!

5 /5 Patricia Apple: It’s our first time here and Bri made it easy and comfortable for us. She was very nice and very approachable. The Food was awesome and sooo good especially the crust. The pizza was thin and yet so crunchy, it was made for perfection. the garlic knots and meatballs were really delicious ,it can be a meal already. Best customer service and will definitely come back because the food was worth eating.

We enjoyed a tasty appetizer of burratta and then each had a specialty pizza - the Juliet and the Meatza. Portions were large and the flavors were fantastic! Waitstaff were friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable - overall a great experience.
