Tangos Restaurant - Southfield (MI)

5 /5 Christopher Schneider: Everything about our visit was amazing. The food was flavorful and beautifully presented, the service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere was simply gorgeous. It all came together for a perfect dining experience that we’ll definitely remember.

4 /5 C and M Zimmerman: Solid comfort food, good variety on the menu and a bit expensive given they cater to the hotel staying crowd. Very professional service, Kind and attentive team at the restaurant at dinner and breakfast. Can’t really go wrong but do not expect surprises.

4 /5 Chris Rehberg: The hotel provided me with a complimentary gift card which I used for a drink at Tangos bar -- a mojito. For a free drink is was pretty good! Lots of people had PCs out and were working / socializing, so I moved into the restaurant for dinner. My waitress was nice enough, but it took a long time for my food to come out, and when it did, it was not very good. I think I will try my luck elsewhere next time. Update: The menu has been re-vamped, and the food and service are much improved since I was here last.

3 /5 Mike Fein: I did not have car for the first night at the Westin, so I was captive to Tangos. I believe the description said "casual but elegant", however I question the latter. It tries to double as a sports bar, and fancy restaurant, but you cannot have elegance with a party at the bar. The bartender was very popular and folks were having a good time. Because I soloed, I positioned myself away from the bar, but in view of the tv screen. My server, Chris, was efficient, and professional, as were all Westin staff. I ordered a glass of a Paring red blend at $13. It was fruity, but the finish had some bite to it. The list overall was okay. For an entree I ordered the Zip Tips, sauteed beef tips with mushrooms sauced over garlic mashed potatoes, at $34. Frankly, the Zip sauce could have used a little zag to go with the Zip.

3 /5 Alex Yeganeh: Food was great. The service was awful. It was a Monday evening. Not too busy. Waited at the host stand while the server was having a conversation for awhile before getting sat. No one greeted us. Many servers walked by and never helped us out. Finally I asked if we had a server and were helped. The server forgot our app and had to be asked to refill our drink. After our food arrived we were never checked on. The food was great tho. The zip tips and Brussels were awesome.
