1 /5 Karly Backie: Have you ever had a store tell you that you owe them money when youre trying to exchange a sweatshirt for the same exact sweatshirt just in a smaller size when you have your receipt and it still has the tags on it not even 24 hrs after you bought it? I purchased the Nike sweatshirt on January 11th realized it was too big.I went back on the 12th, not even 24 hours later, told the girl the situation. She then proceeded to tell me.I owed her seven dollars and ten cents to do the exchange. Um what?? Why would I owe you money to do an even exchange? They are the same price.I just need a smaller size. She could not give me an answer.Just kept telling me that I had to pay. I told her to get her manager which apparently was the young kid next to her who looked at the screen and then asked me for money as well. He just kept talking in circles saying you used your Dicks rewards.OK, and Im trying to get the same exact thing. In a smaller size, it is not any more.It is not any less.It is the same price. I was at the register for nearly 15 minutes. And he said that he would just keep discounting it.In the end I had to pay a penny before they would give me the sweatshirt. I will never go back to the store.I have shopped at Dicks for years and have exchanged items and never asked for money to do so.I bought three items that day that totalled over $500. If youre going to hire children make sure they are capable of talking to the public. I will never go back. Not to mention all the people that were held up in line behind me.Listening to this saying how absolutely ridiculous that is. There are plenty of sports stores out there. Do better.
