5 /5 Bent_not_Broke: Visited Uptown Cheapskate Grandville with my teenage daughter and her friend to shop their $1 items sale. We arrived close to closing time, but with very pleasant greetings! The staff helped us find sale items (although everything was very organized, signs posted, tags clearly marked, and the shopping sections were comfortably spacious). The store was very clean, the dressing rooms were spacious and no hangers or clothing were left inside. The staff was so helpful and friendly (rarely seen when arriving so close to closing time) and we werent rushed when requesting a fitting room and while checking out, which we actually managed to do before closing time!! Overall we experienced an incredible shopping experience and I would recommend checking Uptown Cheapskate Grandville out, they do not disappoint!

5 /5 E DS: If you have nice clothes to sell, and you want to increase your odds of a resell store, such as this one to accept what you have and get a fair amount of money for it, this is probably your best bet in the area. After trying two resale stores in Holland, and realizing they only catered to the college crowd, I discovered that this store in Grandville was not so restrictive in who their demographics are. I had some really cool clothes like Hugo BOSS casual summer tops that this Cheapsake Store gladly accepted.

3 /5 Elsa Brown: I used to love coming here but the last several visits have been very frustrating. If you’re over 23/4 years old, I wouldn’t bother attempting to sell clothes here. They used to take my clothes all the time, but for the last couple years they don’t take anything anymore even when I bring American Eagle/ old navy/ all brands they ask for. I shop new brands, so not sure why they don’t take anything anymore. It’s not worth it to bring boxes full of good clothes only to be told they won’t take them - “not in style” even though I see the same things on their floor. They used to give a 10% off discount if you bring items to sell, but they don’t do that anymore so I really have zero incentive to even try anymore. Store is clean, neat, and organized. They have lots of clothing options to browse.

5 /5 Alyssa Atkins: Uptown is Grand Rapids hidden gem! Name brand styles and VERY affordable prices. Me and my friends will walk in just to look and always leave with so many clothes we can barely carry. The staff can also read my mind from across the store and come over to grab my things and put them in a dressing room for me. I love this place. It’s hard to find clothes that I absolutely adore and this place makes it too easy! The staffs friendliness, warmth, and enthusiasm makes you feel so welcome and comfortable shopping. Especially Kamdyn! She is always so nice and helpful. If you are in the area and want to find cute, unique, and fun clothing, DEFINITELY stop by!!
