1 /5 Kayla Howard: I would not bank with them as they do not care about their customers. I deposited a government check 8/7 and was told I couldn’t get it until 8/26 because they couldn’t verify the account. I called the company I received the check from and they said all they had to do was call and the verification process would be fast so I’d have my money. Mind you I told the manger I needed the funds for medication which means it’s an emergency right? No call back as promised. What an inconvenience not only will I be in pain until I receive my funds but I also have no money for food or gas. When in reality I have a couple thousand to my name. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM.

Harvey Wilcox: I just had the most remarkably helpful experience in my life with someone offering help with my taxes. Dear Jasmine. Because of its many glitches, I gave up on HR Block this year and this is my first year using Turbo Tax. Although I had properly entered all my data, your program identified problems with two annuities and would not e-file my return. The first person who tried to help me was Ali. He was kind and tried very hard to help, but eventually gave up. Then I wrote back and forth with another person who concluded there was “something wrong” and disappeared. When I wrote back to see if he/she was still there, I got the same response that there was "something wrong." Today I fortunately ended up talking with Jasmine who stuck with me for several hours (she was very patient with someone turning 80 next week). We reviewed several entries and, after she took a research break, she explained that there is a known problem in the Turbo Tax program having to do with entering information for annuities that is expected to be fixed by March 21. She then helped me with a couple of entries that would let me apply my refunds of Federal and Virginia taxes to next year’s returns. I had spent over 20 hours trying to figure this out and haven’t slept for 3 nights because I can’t find an accountant at this late date. I totally trust Jasmine and believe that the problem will be resolved shortly and that I will be able to file both returns after March 22. By the way, I was very impressed with Jasmine’s analytical abilities in tracking down and isolating the problem. You have a “gem” in Jasmine. Leslie Wilcox

Caleb Raterink: This company has given me nothing except problems. The statements they send me are indecipherable; as far as I can tell, the only increases in my portfolio are from my deposits. They invested my money into the money market instead of what they were instructed to do. And to top it off, they lied to me about a change in the law and made me change the custodian, netting themselves a nice closing fee after it came to light when I talked to a different financial advisor (who they proceeded to insult while Im trying to close my account). Its my mistake for giving them another chance after the money market fiasco I described above. I wouldnt recommend northwestern mutual to anybody after dealing with them.
