Champion Health Club Fraser - Fraser Ashley A: I love this gym! The atmosphere is very positive and welcoming. The gym itself is well maintained and clean. The staff is super friendly and there’s a wide variety of equipment available, as well as plenty of classes to choose from. They also have saunas, tanning, a smoothie bar, and a great kids club!
LA Fitness - Roseville Luis Basurto: The major issue with this location is cleanliness. This gym is filthy. The parking lot is riddled with trash. No one wipes down the sweaty benches. Trash and empty bottles on the cardio machines. The tiles and grout in the pool and hot tub are filthy. And the locker room is the worst of all. Doors on lockers are broken, hanging off the hinges and some completely broken to pieces. There is trash all over the floor. And mold growing on the curtains, tiles and grout in the showers.
For the last several months there have been missing curtains in the showers and missing soap containers. Of the soap containers that are present half are broken and the ones that work are empty. Overall this gym is just gross. This gym is right down the road, so it’s a convenient location but at this point I’m much more comfortable driving 10-20 minutes out of the way to go to a clean gym.
The Edge Fitness Clubs - Sterling Heights Samantha Hampson: One star review is not because of the corporate itself. Its because the gym is run by a bunch of hypocrites and not a one of the employees still employed there has any self respect or owns up to thier mistakes. Catherine Barba was and is the BEST trainer and most honest person I have met. As a friend and as a professional, I will follow her to the next gym that decides to respect what she does for HER clients. If you want to live in a fairytale where everyone wants to be nice to your face and talk behind your back, then by all means. Go to Edge Fitness on 18 mile. Also, watch your check book, because they like to charge you for sessions that are one on one with your trainer, but not let you or the trainer know either. Make sure you read the fine prints, just like I did, and when you have questions, just like I asked, make sure you are signing up for what you assume you are signing up for.
