Orangetheory Fitness - Dearborn

Savannah Chris: Took my first free class today and was impressed by the customer service. I walked in and was greeted right away. Very clean environment. You go in the door on the side of the road and park at the parking lot right next door. The coach Tiffany was energetic and encouraging throughout the whole process. I guess each day is different. I like how they provide you with the full experience for your first free session. You arrive 30 mins early and they give you a run down of all the classes. The music is pumping and it’s a hitt workout basically non stop moving. Class went by so fast. I haven’t signed up yet because I’m figuring out what exercises I want to do. They even donate old sneakers here as well. I recommend wearing athletic shoes. There’s strength training, water rowing and treadmill. They do bingo, raffles and challenges. I did ask about how cancelling works and if you want to cancel they need a 30 day notice. You can activate a membership online or over the phone as well. They have a 2 week promo if you want to try it out but i would recommend to cancel the day you sign up. They have lots of classes and variety of time blocks. Some people even go twice a day! To purchase a orange theory monitor it’s 120$ with one year warranty or 10$ a class to rent. In order to see your heart rate/calories you need one

Hype Athletics - Dearborn Heights

Mowe H: Do not go to this gym if you have any other option! Basketball gyms are always occupied with no notice, there’s a few amazing workers at the desk but the rest are super rude and unprofessional, the manager has zero customer service experience and is somehow more rude than the staff, their equipment is not only old but very dangerous to use since it’s always broken. I have fell out of their seats because the pins are broken so it just snaps down, and hurt myself a couple times. I have no issue with the sauna but for almost 50$ a month having nothing other than a sauna and track as amenities is beyond laughable. Some of the weights have sand leaking from them, the fly machines haven’t been fixed in a year now, one of the two cable rows doesn’t work half the time, the roof is always leaking and to top it all of there’s never any staff inside cleaning or enforcing any rules. The teams they rent out to to train there are overly and take up all the equipment, and there’s no way to know if they’re there since HYPE has no way of talking to customers. If you’re thinking about joining and read this, DO NOT GO, all the positive reviews are misinforming.

The classes are at super convenient times, so I can always work it into my schedule and the trainers are amazing. Their different coaching styles ensure the workouts are never monotonous and Im always working different areas of my body. Since starting, Ive lost over 20lbs and am so proud of the strength Ive gained along the way. The people are encouraging, supportive and literally some of the nicest men and women you could hope to meet. I would recommend this place to anyone and its really easy to give it a try with the trial week they offer!

I’ve been coming here for almost a year (with a short hiatus for surgery/recovery) and I can honestly say that I’ll keep going for as long as I live in the area - and as long as they’ll have me lol. The classes are such a great balance of challenge and basics, and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. Alyssa and Maya are my personal faves for their pacing and the way they always offer thoughtful modifications, but truly, I haven’t had a single instructor that I didn’t like. No matter who’s teaching, you’re in good hands. If you’re considering trying reformer pilates, UGP is the place to do it!

Nirmeen H Collier: This place is awesome! I had one last ounce of hope of attempting to lose weight or have weight loss surgery. Im so glad I found this gym because Sonya made all difference! You need the right trainer to help you reach your goals and keep you on track, motivated. Im not where I should be but nothing happens overnight. Everything takes time and Im working hard to make sure Im where I need to be in the expected time frame. Highly recommend!

Ford Community & Performing Arts Center - Dearborn

Donovan E: This is a nice facility. Great seating to watch a show or enjoy other events . I believe the theater has room for about a 1000 people. We went to the IFBB pro bodybuilding show this weekend. The only downside was the concession restaurant area. There was only one person working trying to help 100 people waiting in line. The tables were not clean and there was a certain amount of trash on the floor.
