3 /5 Argon Mitternacht: Sands has been a go-to place for my co-workers and I over the years. Good food and the service is generally to pace but not always. Appears to be understaffed in the bar and dinning area at all times. While I have never had anything negative to say about this establishment, its always that one experience that sticks with you; be it a stellar or an unpleasant one.
This day we dine in and my coworker had ordered some food to go to bring home to his kids. He mentions we are going to be in a hurry upfront so the waitress knows. We order, she writes nothing down. Our food comes and a few details are wrong. I had tots but received fries. I make light of it as Im not one to care much for such things. The problem arises when we finish eating and tell the waitress we are ready for our bills. Fifteen minutes go by, my coworkers wife is on the phone urging him to hurry. We needed to get out of there. Our waitress doesnt seem to be in a hurry and for every new customer that came in she would chat with them and get their drink order.
My coworker finally goes to the bar and asks her if she can run his bill so he can leave. Hes visibly frustrated but polite and mentions the time we had been waiting, to which the waitress replies "Well, youre not the only customer in here." Its snarky and he simply tells her that he thinks her comment was not necessary.
He leaves and my other coworker and I pay our bills and she proceeds to complain to us about him, telling us her comment was necessary. Thats the context.
Ive worked in customer service before, you have your days, I get it but she was rude and we wish your restaurant the very best.
