1 /5 J. White: This place is absolutely gross! I came once and got tacos; they were trash. However, since it was late and near closing, I gave them a pass. I should’ve left it at that. A year later 01/03/26): I just gave them another try and regret every penny I spent. The queso was cold (lumpy and thick like snot), weird-tasting and gritty. The steak tacos had very little meat and were flavorless. The grilled chicken was bland, as were the rice and beans. The food is subpar, but the price is high given the quality and portions. I don’t recommend this place and wish I’d saved my money.

5 /5 Derek Jackson: I made a mistake writing this place off for so long. Dont let the plaza fool you; this place is legit. The food is top tier & authentic, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. Ill definitely be going back and highly recommend checking it out.

4 /5 Yazmin Fant: I got the birria and it was delicious as always. Only thing I noticed different this time was that they didn’t add the onions and cilantro to the broth anymore. Only on the side. It was still good but the past was better. Still highly recommend.

5 /5 Steve Dyer: The food is fresh and good. The best authentic Mexican food outside of Mexican town restaurants around Bagley in southwest Detroit. I had Botana Nachos with ground beef and chorizo and a bowl with tinga (Mucho Gusto). They did not disappoint (Muey bien). However, there house made beverage (lemonade) need some work. Wasnt refreshing or tasty, had a strange taste to it. The churros with carmel were also good.

The tacos tasted fresh with good flavor from the meat, onions, and salsa, but the overall experience was overshadowed by the high prices. Paying $15 for just five tacos feels excessive, especially considering limited customization or additional toppings. On the bright side, service was attentive and friendly. However, the expectation for tipping seemed unreasonable for a simple carry-out order. Atmosphere-wise, it’s nothing special—primarily geared toward takeout. Overall, I’d return only if pricing became more competitive.
