5 /5 Nicole Weber: We spent my sons 21st birthday here. They used a R2D2 type robot to sing happy birthday and deliver his dessert. The chef was amazing and entertaining. Portion sizes were large and filling. My step daughter tried sushi for the first time and she loved it.

5 /5 Chelsea Markunas: The hibachi grill is extremely entertaining and turns a regular meal into an experience. The chefs have a great sense of humor which adds to the experience. Highly recommend to bring a group of family or friends here. The portions are great for the price. We both had tons to bring home and didn’t even order appetizers or sushi. All the food was grilled to perfection, and seasoned beautifully. No flavors overpowered anything and the meats really shined through.

Amazing staff ,food is amazing( only issue I had was rice was a little undercooked but not terribly or enough to lose any stars) at some point we was comparing to bennihauna and I have to say I liked the food better here and heres the best part its so much more affordable than bennihauna and you dobt feel like table # 100 on an endless list of tables for the cook. The cooks are very present and fun. They dont seemed over worked (even if maybe they are, they dont show it). Amazing customer skills and interactive dinner. I would 11/10 recommend this place ever time.

2 /5 Elizabeth Randall: We recently experienced issues during our visit to the restaurant on the eve of a holiday. Despite having a coupon, our server, who was also the manager, informed us that it was not valid. As my mother and child shared a plate due to their smaller appetites, we were surprised to see a charge for the salad and soup, which added nine dollars to the bill. A 20% gratuity was also included, seemingly automatically, given our group size of six. Furthermore, a 4% fee was applied for using a credit card. During the service, the busboy placed a plate on the hot stove and then handed it to my mother. Unfortunately, this experience has deterred us from planning any future visits.

3 /5 Ryan Martini: Went here last night before heading to a hockey game. First time at this hibachi, we usually go to one closer to our house but this was on our way downtown. I have a mixed review, which is why this is three star. I dont see us going back Pros: 1) Easily got a table for 6 at hibachi on Saturday night with almost no advanced notice. There were actually other tables available while we ate. 2) hibachi portion sizes were enormous. Everyone has to-go boxes 3) Food was good. Standard fare for hibachi with typical prices. Cons: 1) My main problem is really how the bill worked out. First, towards the end of the meal the cook put out a tip jar. The jar remained in his cart but he was sure to make sure we noticed it by playing with it and dangling cash out of the jar. We took the bait and threw the guy $20. However - when the bill came, it also had automatically tacked on an additional 20% tip for our table of 6. This was automatically added. I immediately felt annoyed that I had no option to adjust this based on the fact that I already gave the guy $20. I decided I wasnt going to say anything and just gave them my card. Then they reminded me that the charge card will be an additional 4% upcharge (this is posted on their door) but at that point I was a bit salty. This is when I asked about the gratuity that is forced on the check after I already tipped a portion of it cash. The lady said "we all split this tip" and there was no opportunity to adjust it. The whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. At the end of the day we spent $225 for $156 dollar meal. The food was good but the service certainly wasnt good enough to be dropping a $51 tip. Which leads me to my next point.... 2) Hibachi is all about showmanship - while the chef did a good job, it was certainly less flashy than our local place. The kids had fun but even they mentioned at the end that it was not quite what they were used to. Sure I could have not thrown the cash tip, but I figured it would all work out at the end. It just didnt. This was a one off stop on the way to an event, but I dont see a need to go back when there are better places local and this experience left me annoyed. Maybe this is why they had open tables with no wait on a Saturday night.
