1 /5 Matthew Shovlain: I have always loved BR. Half of my wardrobe is from this company (work and everyday). I have always gone to BR due to higher quality of product and friendlier customer service even though they are 3x the cost of many other places.
I receive pants as a gift in February, and for the first time, the quality was not good. The rivets that hold the pockets together were falling apart after only a handful of wears and washes. I went into the store a day prior to explain my situation and they gladly indicated I should return with them and I could exchange for a comparable pair.
Today, I got in my car and drove 20 minutes to the store. When I explained the situation the clerk, she proceed to explain to me that these pants are from 2017 (I have no idea what this means and I just received them). After I explained they were a gift she asked if I had the card used to purchase.......NO, they were a gift... She indicated that since they were worn and washed “there is nothing I can do.” No apology, no let me check with a manager, no let me exhaust a single option to try and help you out.
Today, BR showed that the quality and customer service are not worth the 3x cost. I will be doing my shopping at Brooks Brothers from now on, at least you get what you pay for. Extremely disappointed.
