Jennifer Engel: The class size first and foremost was the best thing about our experience. For my kids to learn how to swim with only two other children was perfect, I hope the ratios never change! The patience of the instructor (and the sub instructor this week) was also such a great help. These two are really wonderful young women and have done so well with my kids, who are both Autistic and sometimes need a little extra. Thank you!
TRV|FIT Fitness SW Grand Rapids - Byron Center
Dana Tosh: After being told by my doctor that I had early stages of osteoporosis he told me strength training would be the best thing I could do. Also, I recently received a kidney transplant and made a promise to the donor family that I would take the absolute best care of my health to honor the sacrifice that a special young man made in becoming an organ donor. However, I was nervous and very intimidated by gyms because I was terribly out of shape but also knew this was going to be the best thing for my health. I bit the bullet and researched gyms in the Byron Center area. The responses and enthusiasm I received from Kelsey at Trv-Fit ran circles around the other gyms I checked out. In fact, one never even responded to my questions. Ive been at Trv-Fit now for 3 months and LOVE it! The personal attention and guidance they give their members is top notch! They TRULY care me and my journey and all exercises are adaptable based on your fitness level. I cannot recommend Trv-Fit enough!
CrossFit Grand Rapids - Grand Rapids
Bill Cleveland: Started CrossFit several months ago and CrossFit Grand Rapids has provided a nurturing learning environment. Zack Christopher took over as owner shortly after we started and has a great approach with the members. The gym has a members at many different ability levels. The vibe is very supportive and not competitive between members. This is particularly good for beginners learning all the different exercises. Many times we have also had visitors from out of town who are similarly welcomed and encouraged.
    GR Strength - Grand Rapids
Louise Copsey: Crystal will unlock your inner strength through your outer strength. I fell over in my fitness journey due to a sedentary job leading to injury, and she set me back upright without breaking me with overtraining. In a world inundated with superficial ideals about strength, her drive to help each individual improve against their own personal measures is all that counts in this world, anyway.

Bryan Theile: Cool place with awesome water area. Not the best for an avid weight lifter though.
RedWater Fitness Watermark - Grand Rapids
Julie Wu: Nice gym facilities, but i feel like some of the equipment was not accessible. As a 5’6” person I couldn’t use the bench press because my feet don’t touch the ground. I know that there are other bench manufacturers that make lower benches, I it’s never been a problem at a gym besides Redwater.
Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center. - Grand Rapids
Nathan Neal: Great place for indoor sports, comfortable seating and easy to find areas.
    StretchLab - Grand Rapids
Bex McMurry: Brent was amazing! He knew exactly how to get the right stretch just by feeling things out and adjusting as he went. I am very flexible and so it’s difficult to stretch me, but he found a way and it was brilliant! Thank you Stretchlab EGR and thank you Brent! A****
    Planet Fitness - Grand Rapids

Amanda Barnes: Mangers at planet locations are always so friendly and welcoming. I just had the rudest encounter with one. Literally said nothing to me. I said multiple things in a friendly tone and he made me feel so awkward. Get a personality and learn some manners!! You should not be managing at all if thats how you treat guests.
YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids - Grand Rapids
John Smith: This place has become a joke. Just today, there are kids hanging on the basketball rim trying to climb all the way up it on my right side and on my left there are 2 kids tossing the bench bar onto each other and laughing hysterically like it’s a game. Heaven forbid any worker does anything about it- I’m sure they’re pretty busy running this 5 star facility. Additionally, you have to park in a garage across the street, no steam room, no sauna, the mens/boys locker room is about 10x10 with water all over the place. I guess it’s fine for something that’s $20/mo, but for $80/mo it’s a complete joke.
