Shortys Bar & Grill - Waterford Township (MI)

5 /5 Jessica Bannigan: Stopped in for lunch and to catch the Lions game. Our waitress was attentive and quick with the drinks. This is a great spot to grab some bar food and relax without feeling rushed. I had the classic rueben which came with large order of french fries. I’ll definitely be back to check out their upstairs patio—unfortunately, it was already closed for the season at the end of September.

1 /5 Keegan Vanluven: Would absolutely not recommend shortys anymore. The last 3 times Ive personally been the drinks have been sub par and VERY inconsistent to say the least. After 2 drinks they WILL start watering them down and charging you the same. My wife went up there tonight to catch up with a friend. Both ordered margaritas and they tasted COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Both tasted each others drinks and confirmed that my wifes tasted horrific. After only two margaritas she is now projectile vomiting and in severe stomach pain while her friend (of the exact same weight and alcohol tolerance) is perfectly fine. In fact, barely tipsy. They both said it tasted like spoiled fruit and vodka (remember this is a tequila drink) and to make matters worse, second round went exactly the same. Wifes friend got a good margarita, wife got some other horrific concoction. This is NOT a rare occurrence for shortys which is very unfortunate because this used to be an awesome place to be.

1 /5 Kaliyah Calhoun-Pyles: Shorty’s Bar is really hit or miss. Some of the bartenders are cool and make the place enjoyable, but others can be pretty snippy for no reason. There’s one bartender in particular — a woman with dark hair and glasses — who is consistently rude and always cards people even when you’ve been there multiple times. It makes the experience feel inconsistent and unwelcoming. It’s an okay spot, but the attitude from certain staff definitely brings down the vibe.

5 /5 Art Hennessey: Kai continues to set the bar high for service and you wanna talk lunch? Stop in at Shortys, cant explain why anyone would have CNN on a single television (Only set back). Over the past five years or so, not one single bad meal, coldest soda and coolest jukebox.
