LA Fitness - Sterling Heights Yuhui Sun: Clean and well-maintained LA Fitness location. It has great amenities including a pool, squash courts, a basketball court, and plenty of equipment for all types of workouts. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxedâperfect for a focused, personal workout. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a well-rounded fitness experience.
Crunch Fitness - Clinton Township - Clinton Township TheGrammy Slammerr: Awful experience. The manager, Aaron, was extremely rude and dismissive. I came in after moving back to the area just to check out the gym again, and instead of being welcoming, he acted like I was doing something wrong. His attitude alone was enough to make me walk out. I was planning to sign up, but after that interaction, I definitely wonât be returning.
Troy City Fitness - Troy ran S: If youâre ready to change your lifestyle & better yourself, you need to try this gym out, which will lead you to become a member like I did. The trainers are very knowledgeable & the entire staff is super friendly & helpful. Iâve been a member at many other gyms & this is by far, the best! No yo-yo dieting or a non manageable workout plan. Once you reach your goal, it is easy to stay on track with continued guidance from all the trainers. 4 years in & no stopping now! Thanks TCF
LA Fitness - St Clair Shores DAAN PAARKER: This is the cleanest of the 3 LA Fitness Gyms I use. The only issue I have is no Hot Water in shower. Warm at best. Why ? It used to have Hot then about 6-8 months ago..Warm. Hate all the hand dryers in all clubs.. Understand alot of sloppy people, but you do have a cleaning staff. Overall this is a nice gym and great staff !!
LA Fitness - Troy Christina D: Iâve been a paying member at this gym, but after what happened to me on September 4th 2025 at around 2pm, I will never feel safe or respected here again.
After a workout with my boyfriend, I went into the womenâs locker room where an older female member approached me and asked about me and my boyfriends nationality. When I told her my ethnicity, and he is Palestinian, she immediately became hostile and started making racist and hateful comments.
She body-shamed him, insulted his appearance, criticized his training, called him âarrogant,â and then said, with anger, âI hate him even more now because heâs Palestinian.â
This was blatant harassment, racism, xenophobia, and completely unacceptable behavior inside a gym.
My boyfriend and I reported it right away. A manager named Mathew was initially supportive and said her membership would be revoked immediately. But when she walked out, no one confronted her, and suddenly there was âa processâ and nothing happened. So he lied to us.
The general manager on duty, Ariana, handled everything incredibly poorly. She never acknowledged us, never apologized, never offered support, and showed zero compassion. When my boyfriend asked her why she hadnât said a word to us, she responded, âFrom an operation standpoint, I donât handle this kind of stuff,â and then asked him, âDo you want me to cancel your membership?â Instead of addressing a serious harassment issue, she pushed a paying member out the door.
It gets worse
I emailed corporate immediately afterward. Someone from corporate actually called me and said they would revoke the womanâs membership â but I never heard back again. I called the gym multiple times afterward to follow up, and each time they told me, âcorporate is working on it,â but nobody ever contacted me or confirmed that any action was taken. My boyfriend and his entire family cancelled and Iâm strongly considering it. I already switched locations after that day.
This gym has a serious problem with how it handles discrimination, harassment, and member safety. The lack of follow-through from both local management and corporate is extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
I would not recommend this gym to anyone until they take accountability and fix their approach to member safety, respect, and discrimination.
